Baby Wilson!

Who woulda thunk? Taylor and I would be having a little munchkin! The due date is July 25, 2013. We found out on a Monday afternoon when I got to leave work early because our internet crashed. I decided to take a pregnancy test because I had a feeling I was pregnant, and of course it came out positive! I called Taylor right away, and, luckily, he wasn't teaching so he as able to pick up. Right after I told him, he told me to take another one haha! After taking three, I think it was pretty certain that we were going to have a baby.

The first trimester hasn't been too bad. It wasn't fun, but it could have been worse. I got nauseous starting in the late afternoon and through the rest of the evening. I was so tired that I went to bed from 8-9 every night. I had the worst heart burn. I only ate chips because that is the only food that sounded good. Just recently, I have finally started feeling better!

The pregnancy didn't feel completely real until we had our first sonogram. We got to see our little cutie moving around and we even heard the super fast heart beat! It will feel even more real when we find out the gender in about a month.

1 month (4 weeks)

(14 weeks)

On Saturday, a few friends and I threw a baby shower for our good friend Chrissy! It was a huge success, and I am so happy for her and her little girl to arrive in a month!

Cowboys, Christmas, New Years ... Baby??

We are back! It has been a really long time since we updated the blog, but not to worry, we are doing okay down here in Dallas. So much has happened since the last time we wrote, so we just figured we would share a few of the highlights!

December got started in epic fashion with our first visit to Cowboys Stadium. Our friends Tiffany and Dave (Dave works with Taylor at Sunset) invited us to come cheer on the Steelers as they took on the Cowboys. Not only did we have awesome seats, but we got to go on the field for an hour before the game started. I thought it was fun, but I think Taylor nearly died of a heart attack because he was so excited. The Steelers lost but it was still a great experience!

This was our first Christmas since we've been married that we didn't go to Kansas City. While we missed Taylor's family and all our friends, we had quite an amazing visit to see my family in Cincinnati. It was the first time since my wedding that the entire family has been together, so it got pretty crazy. We relaxed, saw movies, went shopping, had amazing food, and even had a talent show on Christmas Eve.

We spent Christmas Day flying from Cincinnati to Minneapolis to Dallas. Little did we know that the worst weather we would encounter would be in Dallas, where we flew into a snowstorm. Luckily we were able to land and drive home safely on icey roads. And the best part? When we got home we had all of our presents waiting! Taylor mostly got clothes and some new running shoes, and I finally got my Kitchen Aid :)

Taylor's parents, plus Samantha, came down for the weekend just after Christmas. We mostly just hung out and had a good time, and after Keri and Greg headed home, Samantha stayed to bond with Taylor while I was at work. We all had an awesome New Year's Eve at some friends and we were so happy Samantha was able to stay a little longer. Now we just have to convince her to come teach in Texas after she graduates from BYU!

Oh ... and we are having a baby :) ... more details to come!
