It was a great first weekend in Kansas City! On Friday night we went to our first Royals game in almost a year and it was also Buck Night and Firework Friday! The Royals didn't pull out the win but the hot dogs, peanuts, and fireworks were awesome!
On Saturday morning we ran in the second annual Kansas City Temple 5K with Taylor's parents and 1300 other people from the KC area. Taylor finished first in the family (and 20th overall!) in just over 20 minutes. Gregory got eighth in his age group and finished in 25 minutes, and I ran with Keri and walked/ran the race. Keri finished third in her age group and earned a medal!!
On Saturday we went to Anna Marie Cunningham's wedding. She was the "Crew mom" during high school and it was great seeing her so happy during the ceremony. She married Doug Head, a great guy that treated us all to the Hereford House after the ceremony. The actual ceremony was short and sweet but was a great experience for everyone. We were very thankful to be a part of the small wedding!
